EU investigating Coca Cola
The Coca Cola company is under investigation by the European Commission for alleged unfair trading practices.
A series of raids on the company's offices in Europe follow allegations that it has offered shopkeepers in Germany, Austria and Denmark incentives to sell more of its products — and to stop selling those of its competitors.
Coca Cola has confirmed that the EU made what it described as unannounced visits to several of its offices.
A spokesman said Coca Cola was cooperating fully with the investigation and did not believe it had done anything wrong.
The BBC Europe correspondent say the probe comes at a bad time for Coca Cola, only a month after a health scare which led to the removal of its drinks from shops in several European countries.
